Current Everyday Makeup

On a day to day basis I try and go for a more natural look, but that doesn't mean I don't use quite a few products.  I usually don't stay too consistent with the makeup I use, as I go through phases with what products I'm loving at the moment.  These are the products that I generally reach for when I'm in a hurry to get ready and want to look somewhat presentable.

Garnier Skin Renew BB Cream : I actually haven't been using this product too much recently as I wanted to give my skin a break and allow it to breathe (which has helped a lot as my skin has cleared up tremendously.)  However, if you do need some coverage that is less intense than a full coverage foundation, I would go with this BB cream.  It leaves your skin looking really natural while still covering up any redness and dark spots.  It's also the only drug store BB cream that I've used that does not leave your skin looking shiny.  It's on the pricier end for a drug store product, but it lasts a very long time, making it worth the money.

L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Crayon Concealer : As I mentioned before, I haven't been needing to much coverage recently, so I tend to start off my makeup routine with concealer.  I use this L'Oreal crayon concealer to clear up the redness around my nose as well as on some dark spots and acne scars.  It really is easy to blend, however I think it's better suited for normal to oily skin, as it can accentuate any dry patches you may have.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer : This concealer is probably two shades lighter than my actual skin tone, which is why I only use it under my eyes to cover up my horrible dark circles.  It really brightens the area and leaves a nice dewy finish.  It's also great because it doesn't budge all day (if you use a setting powder) and it doesn't crease.  It can be kind of hard to find where to buy it, I've only seen it at my local grocery store but it's probably readily available in different locations.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder : I always use a pressed powder whether I use a foundation, BB cream, or just concealer.  I have relatively oily skin, especially along my T-zone, and this is the only powder that works every time.  I use the transparent color so that I can use it all year round.  It's also pretty finely milled so it doesn't make your skin looking too powdery.

Benefit Hoola :  Once I've applied powder, I like adding some color back into my face by applying bronzer on my cheeks, down my nose, and along my temples and forehead.  I mentioned how much I love this bronzer in this post, which is why it's my go-to on a day to day basis.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Achiote : This blush definitely lives up to its name, as it really does last all day, which why it is extremely convenient.  This shade is also gives you a really natural flushed look and is very buildable and blendable so you can get the exact shade you want.  Be sure to blend the blush back from the apple of the cheeks towards the hair line, so that it looks as if you are naturally flushed.

Sleek i-Divine Storm Palette : I grabbed this palette a while back when I was on a trip to England, and I regret not buying more.  The shadows are extremely pigmented and so easy to blend.  As you can see, mine is a bit worse for wear as the shadows have a buttery consistency so they are really easy to dent.  However, they are such great quality and so affordable.  I know you can buy them on Sleek's website, however I've had difficulty with them accepting my credit card, so I'd stick to Amazon.  Although some days I do use a neutral eye shadow from various palettes that I own, the majority of the time I just use an angled brush with the black shadow in this palette to line my upper lash line.  It makes your eyes look more defined and your lash line much thicker.

Maybelline The Falsies Mascara : I feel like mascara is what pulls the whole look together.  I'd be perfectly happy if I could just have a little bit of concealer and mascara.  The Falsies is the best mascara I've found in the drug store.  I add a couple coats of the waterproof formula as it holds a curl better and my eyes tend to water a lot due to allergies.  This product adds tons of volume to all of your lashes while also adding length.

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara : Some might think it's crazy to have a separate mascara for your bottom lashes, but this one by clinique is only $10, which isn't bad considering it has lasted ages so far and it doesn't seem like it will be drying out any time soon.  The really tiny brush is great if you have sparse short lashes like myself.  It also helps to apply the mascara in the outer corners.  Although it is not waterproof, it doesn't smudge, which is another plus!

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Fiend : Last but not least is the lips.  I don't really use the same product every day, it's usually whatever's in my purse or lying on my bathroom counter.  I tend to go with something a bit more neutral but as Fall is quickly creeping up on us, the shades are becoming more dark and romantic.  Today I decided to through on this lipstick by Urban Decay, which I reviewed here.

All in all, this whole routine takes about 15 minutes, which isn't too bad considering it's usually pretty early and I'm therefore still half a sleep.  If you have any products you'd like to suggest for a natural look, please let me know!
