Bitter winds, falling leaves and pumpkin spice lattes mean that fall is officially upon us. I love fall for numerous reasons, but especially because of the deeper colors that tend to creep out of my nail polish drawer around this time of the year. I definitely think that darker shades compliment all skin tones. I also find that nude colors are great to wear in the fall, however it can be a little difficult to find the perfect shade for you. I've included a handful of my favorites here!
As soon as the weather starts to get slightly colder, I trade in my classic Cajun Shrimp polish for this deeper red. It's a pretty common, flat, basic red that can probably be found in a ton of different brands, but I love that this one is really warm toned and doesn't stray towards a pinker shade.
This is the perfect nude shade. It's not too yellow and not too peach. The best part about this polish is that it actually has a really beautify pearl iridescence to it, but you can only see it if you're quite close up. I've never seen a polish with this feature since they usually just look metallic, however this one does a great job of making it subtle and keeping the color classic.
Don't be alarmed, this color does not come off as orange in real life as it does on camera. It's actually a nice shimmery, peachy rose gold color. Topshop is a great place to check out for nail polishes, as they have every color and effect you could possibly think of. The only downside is that Topshop is not regularly available in the States, but I do believe you can order polish on the UK site and have them shipped to the US.
I've never felt like I could pull off black nails, but I like to try out dark colors that look black in some lights. This color gives that effect. It's a really, really dark magenta that is still quite a warm shade. I love Essie polishes because they are super pigmented and very easy to apply.
I'm not sure how readily available these specific polishes are, but I did get most of them this season. There are tons of new shades out there this season so I'm sure you could find a few great ones to add to your stash.
