| Topshop "Lips" in Macaroon and Brighton Rock |
When you think of picking up some new make up products, you probably never thinking of going to clothing stores, however I have a deep love for the beauty products at Topshop. They have a wide range of different lip products including crayons, bullets, and sheer lipsticks. I own a few of their different lip products but the traditional lipsticks are definitely my favorite. The packaging matches the rest of the makeup line in that the lipstick is held in a white metal case with black stripes. They go on so smooth and opaque and are very comparable to MAC lipsticks. They don't have an extremely large color range but they do have maybe two dozen colors that include some beautiful nudes, pinks and reds as well as some darker shades that would be great for fall. The lipsticks are not very glossy, in fact I would say that have a satin finish, which makes them very long lasting without being drying on the lips. Even though the two colors I have are quite bright, they're really wearable because they don't look super shiny.
The only down side to this line is that Topshop does not have many locations in the US. The store can only be find in the larger, metropolitan cities of New York City, Las Vegas, Chicago and Los Angeles. If you're in any of these cities I definitely recommend checking out the Topshop make up line, but if not, you can purchase the majority of their products online. At $16 they are pricier than drug store lipsticks, and they are actually a dollar more expensive than MAC lipsticks, however if you've gotten tired of the same ol' shades found at your average beauty counter, take a look at this line!
